CHURCH HISTORY
PASTOR CT SCHLEY |
Upon the foundation that has already been laid, the Lord Jesus Christ has placed in the heart, mind and spirit of Elder Curtis T. Schley to build further for the cause of Christ, and the Kingdom of God. With his wife, Evangelist Patricia A. Schley, they used their financial resources to begin Life Changing Word Church of God in Christ.
In November 2005, he accepted the call to Pastor and through his faithfulness and commitment to his former Pastor and church ministries he informed his Pastor that he would serve one additional year before leaving to fulfill his calling to the Pastorate. Pastor Schley’s call was to the community of Roslyn, PA, and surrounding communities where he lived.
On Sunday, January 7, 2007, Pastor Schley began Sunday School, Sunday morning service, followed by Tuesday night “Family matters – Because the Family matters” Bible Study and Friday night Pastoral Teaching/Preaching services in his home.
On February 4, 2007, Sunday services were moved to the Abington, PA YMCA where souls came to the Lord and the church family grown together as the Lord had blessed us.
As of February 18, 2009, the Life Changing Word Church moved to The Living Word Lutheran Church of Roslyn, PA where they hold Sunday services, Monday hour of prayer,Thursday Men’s Fellowship and 4th Thursday hour of prayer – “When Mothers Pray”. Life Changing Word Church has grown into a strong deliverance ministry where souls are saved, delivered and made complete in Christ to the Glory of God.
Out of this building the following ministries were birthed: Youth Ministries, Women Ministries, Prison Ministry in the Philadelphia area, a Mentorship Program for incarcerated men and women in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, Benevolence, Missions,
The Lord has blessed us to grow slow and sure as we develop the lives of Christians and their families into disciples for Jesus Christ. |
